However, you’ll want to check ahead before getting in the car and going to your desired place for a cheap bite to eat, a takeaway meal or just go somewhere for a coffee, as some fast food restaurant locations are modifying their hours for the holidays.
Burger King will be open as usual on Christmas Eve but many branches will be closed or operating on reduced hours on Christmas Day. To find out when your branch will be open over the Christmas period, you can call customer services, in advance – i.e.. Before the 25th, on telephone the hotline: 1-866-394-2493. Service will also be limited on New Year’s Eve.
Most of McDonald’s restaurants will remain open and serving customers all the way through Christmas. However, since they are franchises operated by independent owners you will want to check ahead of time before you hit the road.
Starting 13 December and up until Christmas Eve customers can take advantage of a special offer, The Mariah Menu. For a minimum purchase of $1, customers can get a range of McDonald’s menu items for free.

Those looking for a Five Guys burger or other tasty treats on Christmas Day will be sorely disappointed as restaurants are closed for business. But they should be open, operating on reduced hours, on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Many Dunkin’ stores will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but it is advised to check if your local store is open in advance. If you fancy a pizza, best to get your order in early to Domino’s on Christmas Eve as staff may be working limited hours. As for on Christmas Day, it is up to the owner of your local Domino’s whether or not to open. You can check if one near you is open by consulting their store locator, Twitter or Facebook page.
Those seeking to savor the Colonel’s secret 11 herbs and spices on Christmas Day will have to pick up their bucket of chicken the day before. Most KFC restaurants should be open during standard opening hours – 10am – 11pm on Christmas Eve but the majority are closed on 25 December. To find a KFC near you, check the online store locator.
Pizza Hut will be opening on reduced hours on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. But it will be open as normal, with their regular timetable on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
In 2021, Pizza Hut has a Triple Treat Box offer. Starting at $22.99, the special includes two medium, one-topping pizzas, five breadsticks and ten Cinnabon Mini Rolls.
If you’re waking up on Christmas morning and need a hot cup of joe but there’s none in the house, or can’t be bothered, you should be able to swing past a Starbucks.
