The 41-year-old Tigerlily and 22-year-old Adnan met on Instagram just four months before she flew to Amman and wed him. Tigerlily’s decision to marry Adnan has been criticized by viewers, especially since Adnan comes across as controlling and Tigerlily’s ex-husband was pretty much the same. Tigerlily went through a difficult marriage and her divorce took four years. For her to marry a Muslim man without learning about his culture and expectations was a big mistake.

Tigerlily decided to do a Q&A with her Instagram followers following the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in which Tigerlily got legally married to Adnan. While their grand wedding reception is yet to air on season 7, Tigerlily shared a Reel on Instagram documenting how grand the ceremony was. Someone asked Tigerlily, “Did you pay for the wedding since it seems like he’s poor?” Tigerlily said that she “didn’t pay a dime,” for the wedding. In Adnan’s culture, it is customary for the groom to arrange everything for the wedding.
Tigerlily thinks she got “lucky” and didn’t have to plan a thing because Adnan and his family did all the wedding planning. Tigerlily’s introduction confirmed that she came from wealth. She was shown casually spending $26,500 on a watch just because it was exclusive. Tigerlily admitted that she’d always lived a life of privilege. Even when she was married to her controlling ex-husband, he showered her with the most expensive clothes, shoes, and bags. Tigerlily works as a certified handwriting expert and owns a few businesses. She was shown telling her life coach that she hadn’t discussed finances with Adnan.
Tigerlily had assumed that Adnan was rich, possibly because of the way he was spending on their wedding reception. She’d also watched him live a certain kind of lifestyle through his Instagram updates. She expected Adnan to come and work once he came to the U.S. However, it also didn’t mean that Adnan had more money than Tigerlily. His marrying someone he didn’t know four months after meeting her was in itself a giant red flag. Adnan was a 22-year-old model, but he doesn’t seem to have done any noteworthy modeling assignments yet.
It’s possible that Adnan comes from generational wealth and never took having a job seriously. On the other hand, Tigerlily also didn’t address the part of the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Daysfan’s question where the fan called Adnan “poor.” It remains to be seen if there will be an imbalance in Tigerlily and Adnan’s finances in the future. She’s also not signed a prenup which could add to her woes. Still, Adnan and Tigerlily have been together and married for almost a year now which means things worked out well for them in the end.
