Let’s get right into today’s story about everyone’s favorite cast member—I’m being sarcastic—Big Ed Brown, or as many of you call him, “Small Ed.”
The reason we’re talking about Ed today is because we’re watching his relationship with Liz unfold and dissolve on the current season of Happily Ever After. There were rumors that Ed and Liz had gotten married, but it appears that the wedding never happened. Essentially, Big Ed walked out on the relationship. It’s been a bit of a disaster since the get-go.
Additionally, we’re going to discuss Big Ed’s current PR campaign. I’ve got a few things to get off my chest about this, but we’ll start by looking at the storyline unfolding on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.
As you know, Big Ed has been accused of some troubling actions in the past. The reason I bring this up is to analyze how mainstream media is portraying Big Ed and his PR campaign. The media seems to be letting him off the hook for any accusations or shady behavior, whitewashing everything and acting like he’s a big star without a problematic past.
On a happier note, we’ll also talk about Liz and her new man, Jason, as there might be a significant update in her life.
First, let’s look at the current season of 90 Day Fiancé with Big Ed and Liz. Their story is mostly the same: they fight, argue, break up, and usually get back together. However, now it looks like they’re not getting back together. Ed took Liz by surprise earlier this season when he canceled their wedding without telling her. She found out through the officiant. Now things are over between Big Ed and Liz, but Ed still wants to maintain his bond with Liz’s daughter, Riley.
I don’t believe Ed genuinely cares about Riley because if he did, he wouldn’t have argued with Liz in front of her. Ed asked for a minute alone with Riley to apologize, but it felt like a PR move to me. In a confessional, Ed admitted the split from Liz is sad, and he feels numb, needing to start his life over again at 58. He claims they both dodged a bullet.
Now, let’s shift to Liz Woods and her new boyfriend, Jason. Liz may already be married to Jason, as indicated by a wedding seating chart with their names. Her Instagram stories show her moving on from Big Ed and starting a new life with Jason. Liz celebrated her 32nd birthday recently, and Riley celebrated her 11th birthday. Liz seems incredibly happy with Jason, and I hope they work out.
Finally, let’s address the problematic behavior of TLC. Despite accusations against Big Ed, TLC continues to feature him on the show, whitewashing his past. This pattern of behavior isn’t new for TLC. They have a history of ignoring serious accusations against cast members. This lack of accountability from TLC is troubling.
