Clean & safe: Getting about safely in Switzerland
The tourism trade associations have launched a ”Clean & Safe” label. The label lets guests know that they are visiting an establishment that has consciously committed to comply with the safety concept. The ”Clean & Safe” campaign is supported by Switzerland Tourism. Service suppliers are responsible for ensuring that the safety protocols are implemented and complied with. Cantonal regulations must also be taken into account in the protection concepts and measures.

Test opportunities in the Destination Gstaad
A public test centre is available in the building of the old hospital in Saanen (Spitalstrasse, 3792 Saanen). Masks and keeping distance are compulsory. In order to prevent / shorten waiting times, prior registration and appointment reservation is now mandatory under this link! All current dates and times can be found there.
The following test options are offered:
Antigen tests (validity of the certificate 24h)Nasal/throat swab, price Fr. 50.00, result within 15 to 30 daypg.com antigen tests as nasopharyngeal swab are performed in the test center for children from school age. The costs are covered by the goverment. Without a valid health insurance and identity card Fr. 50.00 (cash preferred) must be paid on the spot. Foreigners bring their passport and complete private address. Without correct information, we must also charge Fr. 50.- for the test.
Antigen Recovery CertificatePersons who receive a positive antigen test will now also receive a recovered certificate with a time delay of 5 working days. However, the certificate is only valid in Switzerland. Those who wish to obtain a convalescent certificate for travel abroad must have a confirmatory PCR test carried out in order to obtain an internationally valid convalescent certificate.

PCR travel tests (validity of certificate 72h) are carried out as saliva test or spit test (gargle solution), with microbiological examination in the laboratory. Costs are not covered by the federal government or the health insurance fund.

Antibody testIf the value is high enough, a Covid certificate can also be issued with a validity of 90 days (the certificate is only valid in Switzerland). In this test, a small amount of blood is taken capillary and analysed in the laboratory. The result is available in 48 hours. Currently, this test can be carried out directly at the Dr. Kropf pharmacy in Gstaad. Costs CHF 81.- These costs are not covered by the federal government.
PCR saliva tests are performed in the test center for children from school age. Costs are covered if a prescription has been issued by the federal government/contact tracing.
Test persons must bring a smartphone (COVID certificate app downloaded), identity card the amount for the test in cash, a credit card and the health insurance card.

If symptoms occur, only visit the doctor’s surgery or hospital after making an appointment by telephone.
If you have symptoms, you can also be tested at the test centre in Saanen in addition to the hospital in Zweisimmen. Please use the separate entrance on the left side in front of the main entrance so that we can prevent unnecessary covid transmissions.
For a quick result, the first thing we do is a rapid nasopharyngeal antigen test. This relieves the laboratories, which are stretched to their capacity limits, and can prevent unnecessary isolation (which is mandatory for a PCR test).
To prevent misuse, under these circumstances a negative test result does not entitle a person to a daypg.com order to obtain a certificate, the customer is now free to take another antigen test (CHF 50.00, valid for 24 hours). This is not covered by the federal government.A positive result automatically leads to a PCR test. The result must be evaluated in isolation (duration up to 48 hours).
If you want to be absolutely sure, you can opt for a PCR test at 180 francs. If the result is negative, a certificate is issued which is valid for 72 hours. This is not covered by the federal government,

Due to the official requirements surrounding the development of COVID-19, the Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad have taken all necessary measures to protect the health of their guests. They are given more space at the ticket offices, in the cable cars and in mountain restaurants. Protective masks and tube scarves are available at the ticket offices to cover nose and mouth. Dispensers with disinfectant are also available in sufficient quantities.

At our feeder lines you will find sufficient tips and information (e.g. via screens and displays as well as by our trained staff) on our current COVID-19 guidelines. Only vaccinated or recovered persons have access there. Please bring your valid Covid certificate and a valid identification document as proof. A stay on the outdoor terrace is also permitted without a certificate.
For your information: The risk of infection only exists if you stay in closed rooms for a longer period of time and if the minimum distance is less than 1,5 metres. We leave it up to you to decide whether you want to enter a cabin where there are already people inside.

2G rule indoors: only vaccinated and recovered persons will have access to restaurants, cultural, sports and leisure facilities and indoor events.Mask requirement indoors: A mask must be worn indoors and consumption is only permitted while seated. For events with more than 300 people outside, the 3G rule continues to apply. Establishments and events subject to the 2G rule may voluntarily apply 2G+ and thus waive the mask and seating requirement.2G+ in bars and discos: Where the mask cannot be worn, such as at brass band rehearsals, or where consumption cannot take place in a seated position, such as in discos and bars, only vaccinated and recovered persons who also show a negative test result are permitted. People whose vaccination, booster shot or recovery was no longer than four months ago are exempt from this testing requirement – as are young people up to the age of 16.Restriction of private meetings: Private meetings are limited to ten people if there is a person 16 years or older who has not been vaccinated or recovered. Children are counted. If all persons aged 16 and over are vaccinated or have recovered, an upper limit of 30 persons applies indoors. Outside, the limit is still 50 persons.Home office obligation: The Federal Council reintroduces the home office obligation. Extension of the certificate obligation: the certificate obligation now applies indoors to all public events as well as to all sporting and cultural activities by lay persons. The existing exemption for permanent groups of less than 30 persons will be abolished. For outdoor events, the certificate obligation now applies from 300 persons.Extension of the obligation to wear a mask: An obligation to wear a mask now applies indoors everywhere where a certificate obligation applies – except at private meetings.Possibility of restriction to 2G: Where wearing a mask is not possible, substitute measures apply: an obligation to sit down for consumption in a restaurant or the collection of contact details at cultural and sporting activities such as choir rehearsals or indoor training sessions.Limitation of the period of validity of test certificates: The period of validity of rapid antigen tests will be reduced from 48 hours to 24 hours – from the time the sample is taken. Measures by the federal government of 8.9.2021

Easing measures as of 23.6.2021
On 23 June 2021, the Federal Council communicated that the following relaxation steps will be implemented as of Monday 26 June 2021:
No compulsory wearing of masks outdoors, at work and at secondary level II.Home office obligation becomes home office recommendation.No more capacity restrictions for shops, leisure and sports facilities.Relaxations for the catering trade: The restriction on the number of persons per table is dropped. In indoor areas, the obligation to sit when consuming remains, the distance between groups must be maintained and one contact per group must be charged. Those who are not seated must wear a mask. In outdoor areas, the seating obligation and the collection of contact details is omitted.Clubs and dance venues open to Covid-certified persons.No restrictions for events with Covid certificate.Events without Covid certificate: A number of restrictions apply here: maximum 1000 visitors for seated areas, maximum 500 outside and 250 inside for standing areas. In addition, the capacity can be used to a maximum of two-thirds. Inside, masks are compulsory and consumption is only allowed in the restaurant area. No dance or concert events.Private events remain restricted: Only 30 people can still meet in private indoor rooms, and a maximum of 50 outside.Sport and culture: There are no longer any restrictions on people doing sport or cultural activities together.Entry into Switzerland will be made easier: The quarantine requirement will be lifted in principle for people entering from the Schengen area.
