Notice to all passengers arriving in Japan
STRENGTHENED BOARDER MEASURE
As of November 30th, 2021, the entry of foreigners will be suspended for one month for the time being.(including valid VISA holders) As of December 1st, 2021, passengers arriving in Japan from Netherland will be required to stay in accommodations designated by the quarantine office for six days after entering Japan. As of December 1st, 2021, the 14-day self-isolation will be mandatory for all arrival passengers including vaccinated passengers and business travelers. Those who enter Japan from “designated countries/regions for mutant strains of particular concern for border control measures” and “countries/regions designated as countries/regions for COVID-19 other than those mutant strains of particular concern for border control measures” are required to wait at a place designated by the quarantine office, and are subject to re-test on the third, sixth, and tenth days (depending on the designated countries/regions) counting from the day after entry. Those who test negative on the third, sixth and tenth days (depending on the designated country/region) will be asked to leave the accommodation secured by the quarantine office and stay at home, etc for the remainder of the 14 days after entry. MOBILE APP INSTALLATION
At present, all entrants to Japan (including Japanese nationals) are required to install an app on their smartphones to ensure that the 14-day self-isolation period at home or other accommodation after entry into Japan is carried out. You will be required to use this app to report your isolation status and health condition on a daily basis during your self-isolation period.
You can report the test result via app. And the notification of the decision to shorten the self-isolation period will also be sent to you within the app.

Mandatory submission of inspection certificate
If you do not have a valid COVID-19 certificate, you will be denied boarding by the direction of the Government of Japan. Customers who enter or return to Japan are requested to prepare a certificate in advance.

Effective from entry on or after March 19, 2021, all persons who return to or enter Japan from abroad, regardless of the country or region in which they are staying and nationalities must provide a negative certificate of covid-19 inspection written in Japanese or English that was conducted within 72 hours prior to departure. If you are unable to submit an inspection certificate, you will not be allowed to enter Japan based on the Quarantine Law. (After 01July21, Nasopharyngeal* and oropharyngeal (throat)(swab/smear) becomes valid sample collection method)

– Mandatory E-Questionnaire before departing to Japan
Customers departing to Japan on/after 13th December 2020 need to fill in an e-questionnaire before departure. Upon arrival in Japan there are limited possibilities to do this. Please make sure you fulfill this e-questionnaire before departure.
