General Hospital spoilers report that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was hoping to come home and settle his affairs after he revealed he was still alive to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
One might think that saving Dante’s life would be enough to convince Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Jason is still on his side, but he can’t seem to get over the betrayal of Jason pretending to be dead these last two years.
Moreover, him becoming an informant for the FBI crossed a line these two former best friends may not ever be able to bounce back from. Will Sonny’s willingness to cross Jason — at the same time that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is standing by him — make the decision any easier for Jason when he has to choose between them?
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason Morgan Picks A Side
Right now, Sonny is on Team Sonny, Jason is neutral, and Carly is furious and confused. Neither Carly nor Jason can make sense of why Sonny isn’t seeing things very clearly or being forgiving of Jason’s mistakes.
He’s not willing to take into account that Jason is over a barrel by the FBI and protecting someone — likely somebody who also matters to Sonny.
As they aim to manage him from afar and hope to eventually convince him he’s wrong about Jason, Sonny will only continue to put himself and the business at risk with his reckless behavior.
When it comes down to a precarious situation that leaves Jason having to choose whether to save Sonny — or save Carly — rumor has it he’s going to go with the latter.
GH Spoilers – Gush Sonny Corinthos Would Want It This Way
Sonny might be off his meds and off his rocker right now, but Carly and Jason both know his heart.
We don’t understand yet what kind of trouble Sonny is going to end up in, but it won’t be good. He might be wrapped up in legal trouble that could really send him away for good this time around.
It could even overlap with the charges Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) is holding over Jason’s head.
It may also mean that Sonny is going to end up in a life or death situation, with Jason having to choose between him or Carly.
General Hospital Spoilers — This Could Destroy Carly Spencer
Whatever the tough decision ahead is that Jason will be forced to make — saving either Sonny or Carly, but not them both, it’s going to leave the survivors of that experience a wreck. Jason will put on a brave face, but he’ll have to live with the decision he made.
He may know that even if he could go back, he would make the same choice all over again, but that won’t make it any easier if he’s looking at how his decision ruined a family, killed his best friend, or put him in prison for the rest of his life.
Will Jason then feel comfortable moving on with Carly and taking her hand in marriage? Will Carly be able to stomach feeling like she is the reason Sonny had to pay such a high price?
Will she feel she and Jason even deserve the chance to be together in the wake of Sonny’s ruin?
