Interestingly, the B&B is a family business, originally owned by Meri’s great-great-grandmother. Meri bought the property in December 2017 to continue her family’s legacy. At that time, she requested Kody and the Sister Wives for funds.
However, both parties refused to help her. Ultimately, she arranged capital on her own, bringing the property back into the family. Since then, Meri has been taking care of her business along with the help of her best friend, Jenn Sullivan. Recently, she announced on Instagram that she would be shutting down the B&B. In the caption, Meri explained that the 154-year-old Lizzie’s Heritage Inn needed renovations.
The Sister Wives star highlighted that she is unsure when the property will reopen as it will majorly depend on the time the makeover takes.
