Sophie first exposed Rob’s cheating when she moved in with him. She discovered explicit texts and pictures he had sent to multiple women on social media. Sophie forgave him initially since there was no physical evidence of cheating, only the digital exchanges. She also found inappropriate videos on Rob’s phone, which he seemingly didn’t try to hide. Recently, Rob opened up about why he cheated on Sophie. In an Instagram post, he shared screenshots of a conversation he had with Sophie’s mother, Claire, in 2021, just before they began filming for a new season. Rob admitted that his cheating was driven by “stupid curiosity” and a need for female attention. He claimed he never met any of these women in person and attributed his behavior to childhood trauma related to female attention. Rob hoped that marrying Sophie would change his behavior, but it didn’t.
